A Postpartum Doula supports families during the first year after bringing home a new baby.

As a non-medical support worker, my focus is on the well-being of the birthing parent and the entire family unit. In the role of Postpartum Doula, I provide valuable information and hands-on care to nourish parents while they care for their infants.

WHAT IS A POSTPARTUM DOULA ?

Postpartum (pōs(t)-ˈpär-təm The term postpartum is often paired with depression, but really it just means “the period of time after childbirth”. From the Latin phrase parere, meaning “to bring forth; create; bring into being”
